Tanzania balloon safari is an exclusive excursion over the serengeti plains, offering unparalleled panoramic views of the awe-inspiring landscape. This is a very popular excursion for those of our clients willing to spend that little bit extra, and can be added on to any tour that includes a night in the Serengeti at any of the lodges. Only two balloons fly each day, each with a capacity of only 12 people. .
 

Balloon flights in serengeti takes off at 6.30 am and last for one hour. A chase crew follows and prepares a champaigne breakfast at the plains after which each passenger recieves a certificate.

ITINERARY: SERENGETI
The safari commence with a pre-dawn pick up from your lodge, and a drive of 45 minutes to the launch site. you then enter your hot-air balloon at dawn for a breathtaking one hour balloon flight. As the balloon float over the plains in the increasing light, the pilot will take you up to at least 1,000 foot altitude for a breathtaking panoramic view of the plains. Much of the remainder of the balloon flight will be at a tree-top or even grass-top level for some close up views of the wildlife, flora and fauna below.

You are met by the ground support team with a battle of champagne on landing. Then its off to the breakfast table, which will have been set up under a fine umbrella tree close to the landing spot. You are served a full cooked English breakfast with some tropical additions.

After breakfast you receive your balloon certificates. The safari is complete at around 9.30 a.m., and you are returned to your lodge to be met by our driver/guide. As this is an early morning excursion, you can add this on even if you are in a group where not all members would like to participate.

In case of cancellation due to climatic conditions or any other reason, you will have the option of a balloon flight the following morning if this fits into .

The Lake Nakuru park also contains largest population of rhinos.The surface of the lake occupies about a third of the lake park. At dawn, the endangered black rhino returns to the thick cover of the crater forests after grazing on dew-laden grass in the morning mist.
